Phyllis Blake was our realtor when we moved to the Highlands, and I would highly recommend her! She spent countless hours researching properties for us, taking pictures and e-mailing them to us in Texas. When we were able to come out and look last year, she graciously re- arranged her schedule to accommodate our rather limited time here for vacation. She not only was able to tell us
the good points of the houses she showed us, she was just as quick to point out the various flaws and potential problems. Not every realtor will do that. Due to all her hard work, we were able to find the perfect house and property the very first day. Since we would be closing long distance, she carefully handled every detail, and kept us advised of the progress. Even after the escrow closed, she still helped us by making sure the utilities were turned on, the pre-escrow work was done to our satisfaction, and the house was clean and ready for us to
move in. She even left a bottle of champagne for us to toast our good fortune in finding our dream home. There was even an incident of damage to the property from the previous owner moving out, and she kept working
to make sure the damage was properly taken care of. All this was AFTER the sale, where she would not be earning any further commission from us. I think that speaks volumes about her dedication and professionalism.
Since she is also a resident of the Highlands, she knows what''s going on, who does good work, what is fair market value for a property, and will give honest answers-even if it''s not the answer you want to hear.,
like the possibility of DSL, paving issues and the infamous Sierra Power company. Again, not every realtor will do that.
